Dear Frank: Your piece on The National got me thinking. I remember when The National was followed by The Journal. This was one of the Corp.’s few “innovative” keepers. Barbara Frum and Mary-Lou Findlayson... I was very impressed. Particularly by Frum’s competence, and feeling a little proud of myself for accepting two female anchors so easily.

Dear Frank: Re: Tarrah McPherson’s Wheel of Fortune, by Eddie Cornwallis, 773. I don’t write many letters to the newspaper. I did write one many years ago when I was upset that Premier John Hamm sent cheques out to get elected. As it turned out I was wrong. Premier Hamm turned out to be a good premier and a good man.
