Matt says he didn’t pray at abortion vigil

A rumour circulating in the twittersphere that newly elected District 13 councillor and widely acknowledged super Christian Matt Whitman took part in anti-abortion protests by the prayerful 40 Days for Life Halifax group is just that, says Matt.

“I’m not involved, no... I’m not involved in that prayer vigil,” he tells me.

“I like praying, but not in that one.”

My Halloween treat to myself this year was a visit to Alderney Landing’s Bluenose Haunted House.

At 6:30 p.m., there was already a deep line of people of all ages waiting in delight to be creeped out. The crowd got more giddy when we heard someone behind a dividing wall fire up a chainsaw.
