Much of the rhetoric was over-the-top, some of the jokes fell flat. There was no shortage of politicians wearing novelty socks, catchy slogans, funny hats, tee-shirts, Nova Scotia tartan, cowbells, thundersticks.

Say what, coach?

OUCH! Make that a double ouch as the Halifax Mooseheads got clocked by the Charlottetown Islanders, losing the best of seven in four straight games.
When the Moose got eliminated on the final game, in the second round, 4-2, I heard that their head coach Jim Midgley said that this will be a lesson that the team has to learn in what it takes to win.
